Clark Communications was engaged by the Technology Student Association (TSA) to redesign its primary website, tsaweb.org, with a focus on improving usability and engagement for its core audience: middle and high school students and the educators who support them. The redesigned site needed to better reflect TSA’s vibrant STEM mission, improve access to resources, and provide a more modern, mobile-friendly experience that aligns with students’ expectations and browsing behavior.
The existing TSA website lacked clarity in structure and required too many clicks for users to find essential information. Its design and functionality did not appeal to a student audience or support current mobile browsing habits. TSA needed a solution that would simplify navigation, streamline content, and present the organization’s offerings in a more dynamic, interactive way—without changing the core messaging.
Previous Website

Clark began with a content and user behavior audit to identify the key tasks performed by TSA’s target audiences. From there, we developed a revised site map and content outline that prioritized ease of access, with fewer layers between users and key information. Wireframes and mockups were created for mobile and desktop views, with storytelling and interactivity in mind. Throughout, our team worked iteratively with TSA stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and user needs.
The final website design features a streamlined, mobile-first layout with bold visual storytelling, modern typography, and opportunities for interactivity. The new architecture simplifies how users find resources, program information, and event details, while visual enhancements like rollovers and video integration help reflect the energy and innovation at the core of TSA’s mission.
From the start, Clark partnered with the development team to create a design that worked with the platform and could scale over time. The result is a flexible, extensible system that supports future content and functionality.

The redesigned TSA website presents a clean, engaging front door to the organization and its programs, with a strong visual appeal that resonates with students while maintaining the professionalism needed for educators and sponsors. Content is now easier to navigate, even on mobile, and the site is better positioned to support TSA’s communications, events, and outreach efforts moving forward.
