Project Overview

MedStar Health is a healthcare provider in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. With more than 30,000 associates and 4,000 affiliated physicians, they are committed to living their core SPIRIT values—Service, Patient first, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork, and needed a communications partner with similar values. Clark began our partnership with MedStar Health and MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, in 2019, and quickly became experts of their targeted and recognizable brand.

Our Approach


In addition to the visual designs, our team coordinates and manages MedStar Montgomery outreach efforts. The organization’s goal is to engage the public with health knowledge and facilitate access to specialized services. MedStar branded booths were designed to encourage community involvement with interactive activities and giveaway items.

We work within these brand guidelines and stretch the limits to create comprehensive layouts. Our designers work collaboratively with the MedStar Montgomery internal marketing team and their stakeholders as one large group to successfully complete ongoing projects. From the regular production of monthly/quarterly newsletters to the creation of flyers, professional ads, outreach event materials, and visually striking video graphics, our team has developed various materials across all mediums.

Breast Health Awareness – Pink with a Purpose

During September and October of 2019, our collaboration with MedStar Montgomery was dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer and actively contributing to the grand opening promotion of their new Breast Health and Imaging Center in October 2019. To achieve this goal, we undertook the creation of a substantial, custom-made 10ft ribbon. The community was then given a meaningful opportunity to honor loved ones affected by breast cancer by writing their names on small, individualized pink ribbons and placing them on the larger one.


Serving as a captivating symbol, this large 10ft ribbon took center stage at various community events, effectively amplifying the promotion of the new center and engaging the community in fostering awareness and support for breast health initiatives. Following the complete coverage of the ribbon with smaller ribbons, each bearing the names of loved ones, the collective piece was ceremoniously unveiled at the Community Open House and Grand Opening, marking a meaningful culmination of our collaborative efforts.
